Full Description
A number of flint artefacts were found in ploughsoil removed from the trench for a gas pipeline during 1971, between SY 69489147 and SY 69209383. Artefacts were also found in the fields west and north of Coker's Frome Farm (SY 697913) to SY 69929196. The finds, Mesolithic and Beaker material now in Dorset County Museum along with that from SY 69 SE 164, includes two micro scrapers, seven cores including two micro cores, hammerstone, etc. The Beaker material was mainly indistinctive waste.
