Full Description
An 'Old Chalk Pit' with associated limekiln is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the northwest of Wollcombe Farm [1]. The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and is one of a number of extractive hollows in the vicinity [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
