Summary
An 'Old Chalk Pit' with associated limekiln is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the northwest of Wollcombe Farm. The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and is one of a number of extractive hollows in the vicinity. It was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

An 'Old Chalk Pit' with associated limekiln is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the northwest of Wollcombe Farm [1]. The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and is one of a number of extractive hollows in the vicinity [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
