Summary
Two old chalk pits are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the southwest of Wynford Farm, Wynford Eagle. They are part of a group of low hollows which are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and lie in an area of 'bumpy ground' which may be the result of more widespread extraction. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Two old chalk pits are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the southwest of Wynford Farm, Wynford Eagle [1]. They are part of a group of low hollows which are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and lie in an area of 'bumpy ground' which may be the result of more widespread extraction [2].
