Summary
An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the northwest of Shatcombe Farm, Wynford Eagle. It is one of a number of hollows which are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and lies in an area of 'bumpy ground' which may be the result of more widespread extraction. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the northwest of Shatcombe Farm, Wynford Eagle [1].
