A large group of 'Old Chalk Pits' are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map on the northeast side of Winford Wood, Wynford Eagle [1]. They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project [2].
