Full Description

A 9th century coin of Wulfred (Archbishop of Canterbury 803-829 AD) was dug up in Langton Long Blandford churchyard (centred ST 89810592) in 1854. The coin was in the possession of J J Farquharson of Langton House. <1>

The coin is given a reasonably close provenance but its present location could not be determined. <2>
