Summary

A number of ditches recorded during archaeological evaluation by Archaeology South-East in 2015 of a site proposed for development. These ditches shared a south-east to north-west alignment and their form and a discoidal flint scraper recovered from the filling of one of the ditches suggested a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date. In the south-western part of the development site ditches formed an apparent funnel possibly leading to a pond, and shallow depressions were interpreted as possible cattle trampling.
