Summary

Ditched linear features to the east of Pamphill Farm are visible on aerial photographs. The features are presumed likely to be historic field boundaries and drainage ditches of possible post medieval date, although an earlier origin for some features is also possible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Banked and ditched linear features to the east of Pamphill Farm are visible on aerial photographs (1).

The features comprise linear and slightly curvilinear ditches that are considered likely to be historic field boundaries and drainage ditches of possible post medieval date, although an earlier origin for some features is also possible.

The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery, although Pamphill Farm has extended into the area. The features are still visible.They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
