Full Description

A low irregular mound on the southeast side of Kingston Lacy Park is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).

The feature comprises a low sub-circular mound approximately 35m by 39m. The feature appears to sit within a depression of ground that may be natural but could potentially be man-made, possibly indicating the remains of an external ditch on its north, east and south side, although this is not certain. The origin of the feature is also uncertain but it may be a historic, most likely post medieval, garden or landscape feature.

The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
