Summary

Banked and ditched linear features at Pamphill are visible on aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery. The features are presumed likely to be historic field boundaries and drainage ditches of probable post medieval date. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Banked and ditched linear features at Pamphill are visible on aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1-2).

The features comprise a series of broad slightly linear banks and narrow linear ditches that are considered likely to be historic field boundaries and/or drainage ditches of probable post medieval date.

The site is open parkland and trees on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible.They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
