Full Description
Ditched linear features within Kingston Lacy Park are visible as parchmarks on aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise three sections of narrow linear ditch set parallel to each other and approximately 22m apart. The features are situated on the line of the Roman road from Badbury Rings to Poole (NHRE Hob UID 1357593) and are considered likely to be ditches on either side of the main agger. In total the features extend over 117m in length.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
