Full Description
Possible banked linear features to the west of Kingston Lacy are visible on aerial photographs (1-2).
The features comprise several sections of irregular linear banks situated within two historic fields to the west of Kingston Lacy. They are of uncertain origin but may be field boundaries of historic, possibly medieval to post medieval date. Alternatively the features may be the result of post medieval extraction.
The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery although the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
