Full Description
A possible sub-circular ditched feature to the southeast of New Barn Farm is visible as a cropmark on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The feature is 15m in diameter and enclsoed by a 1.8m to 2m wide ditch. A gap and possible entrance is visible on its southeast side. It is situated adjacent to a late prehistoric trackway (MDO41686) and around 30m west of a probable Late Iron Age or Romano-British settlement (MDO41687). The feature is likely to be broadly contemporary with these, possibly a small enclosure of Iron Age or Romano-British date. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

An enclosure probably of prehistoric of Romano-British date is roughly square with curved corners and visible as two concentric ditches on aerial photograph NMR ST9501/1. Approximately 40m square from the aerial photograph with the linear ditch 112,733 touching its N edge.
