Full Description
A D-shaped ditched enclosure to the north of New Barn Farm is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (1).
The feature comprises a D-shaped ditched enclosure approximately 39m long and between 23m and 32m wide. It imay be an enclosure of late prehistoric origin, potentially Iron Age to Romano-British in date.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Four rectilinear enclosures are visible on aerial photograph NMR ST9402/6. 112,736 is the most northerly of the group and is roughly square with sides approximately 50m long, the north side slightly narrower and curved at the north-east corner. The enclosure probably dates from the Bronze Age – Romano-British period. There is nothing visible on the ground.
