Full Description
An extensive system of relict fields is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery on the eastern edge of Holt Heath, immediately to the west of Newman's Lane (1-3). The system is partially marked within heath on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map (4) and is therefore considered to be post medieval in date. It was perhaps abandoned in 18th or 19th centuries. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
