Full Description
Ditched linear features on open ground to the east of Corfe Mullen are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise several short sections of irregular linear ditches, on a broadly SE-NW alignment, on an area of open ground that was probably open heathland enclosed as pasture by the late 19th Century (2). The features are presumed to be historic trackways of probable post medieval date.
The site is under a modern housing estate on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
