Summary

Three large hollows (20-50macross) are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 immediately to the north of Burnt Lane, Holt Heath. The features are considered to be the potential sites of post medieval gravel pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Three large hollows (20-50macross) are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 immediately to the north of Burnt Lane, Holt Heath (1). The features are considered to be the potential sites of post medieval gravel pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
