Full Description
A banked linear feature to the southwest of Sleight, Corfe Mullen, is visible on current Lidar imagery (1-2).
The feature is broad and slightly curvilinear in form. It extends southwest to northeast across three modern fields, underlying their field boundaries. The feature bears no apparent realtionship to the historic pattern of enclosure but may be a historic field boundary, possibly of medieval date, although a later origin is also possible. Alternatively it may be a trackway of probable post medieval origin.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
