A probable post medieval extractive pit to the southeast of Lambs' Green, Corfe Mullen, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature is shallow and irregular in form, measuring up to 21m long by up to 27m wide.

The site is under trees on current Google Earth imagery but the feature is still visible. It was digitally plotted from current Lidar imagery by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
