Full Description
A ditched linear feature to the southeast of Lambs' Green, Corfe Mullen, is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).
The feature is broad and slightly sinuous in form. It is located at the southern end of a large irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, whose sinuous boundaries are likely to be medieval in origin (2). The feature is considered likely to be a historic field boundary, possibly of post medieval date, although an earlier origin cannot be ruled out.
The feature was digitally plotted from current Lidar imagery by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
