Full Description
Banked linear features to the east of Sturminster Marshall are visible on current Lidar imagery (1).
The features comprise two short sections of broad, slightly curvilinear bank that run parallel to, and approximately 48m northeast of, a sinuous historic field boundary recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, whose character suggests a probable medieval origin (2).
The feature is considered likely to also be a historic field boundary, possibly medieval in origin, although a later date is also possible.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
