Summary

Perpendicular banked field boundaries are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in the fields to the east of High Lea Dairy. The boundaries are considered to be part of a wider medieval or earlier field system. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Recent aerial photography reveals the cropmarks of three linear fetaures, of uncertain date, visible from ST 905 060 to ST 909 060, from SU 000 060 to ST 909 058 and from ST 908 059 to ST 909 058 to ST 909 057 to SU 000 057. The features may represent field boundaries. <1>

The GIS depiction of the crop marks based on the air photograph transcription suggests that they are actually centred around ST 99749 05850. <2>
