Full Description
Ditched linear features to the southwest of Kinson Manor Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are predominantly narrow and rectilinear in form. They are situated within an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, some of the boundaries of which are likely to be medieval in origin (2). The features run on the same alignment as the historic field boundaries to their southwest and northeast, sub-dividing the enclosure into narrow rectilinear units. The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible..
The site is still field on Google Earth imagery, with some evidence of internal boundary changes since the 1940s. The features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted from 1940s aerial photographs by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
