Ditched and banked linear features at Longham are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries of possible medieval date, although a later origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

The features are narrow and slightly irregular or cuvilinear in form. They sub-divide small irregular historic enclosures recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, whose character suggest a possible medieval origin, although a post medieval date is also possible (3). These enclosures are partly formed by the use of historic field boundaries, partly through the use of drainage ditches as a form of historic boundary division.

The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries of possible medieval date, although a later origin is also possible. Some may have dually functioned as drainage ditches, forming part of a wider drainage system (see MDO41335 and 41336), which may have been post medieval in origin.

The site is part of Dudsbury Golf Course on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted from 1940s aerial photographs by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
