Full Description
A ditched curvilinear feature on the west side of Dunyeat's Hill is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The feature is narrow and rectilinear in form and runs parallel to the railway line to the west. It corresponds with a possible trackway across the railway, recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). The possible trackway abuts this feature at a right angle on its west side. The feature may also be a historic trackway of probable post medieval date but could alternatively be a historic field boundary, also of probable post medieval date .
The site is part of Broadstone Golf Course on current Google Earth imagery. The feature is still visible although partly cut by a modern access road. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
