Full Description
Ditched linear features in fields to the south of Ashington are visible on aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and curvilinear in form. They correspond and interlink with a number of historic trackways recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2) and are presumed to also be historic trackways; probably of post medieval date.
The site is still open ground on current Google Earth imagery, but with some remodelling since the 1950s (1) and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
