Full Description
Ditched linear features in fields to the southwest of Merley Park are visible on aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and rectilinear in form. They sub-divided irregular historic enclosures recorded on the OS 1st Edition map whose sinuous boundaries are probably medieval in origin (2).
The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date.
The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
