Full Description
Banked linear features to the southeast of Parks Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1 and 2).
The features are narrow and slightly sinuous in form. They extend between historic field boundaries recorded on the OS 1st Edition map; two of the features are marked by dispersed rows of trees, indicating field boundaries already out of use by the late 19th century (3).
The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries of possible medieval date, although a later origin is also possible.
The site is is largely still open ground on current Google Earth imagery and some of the features remain visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
