Full Description
Two parallel ditched linear features to the east of Lake Farm are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and slightly curvilinear in form. They are situated on the east side of the field adjacent to Lake Farm to the east and run broadly parallel to each other 41m apart and on a east-west alignment.
The features may be late prehistoric in origin, possibly field boundaries associated with Iron Age or Romano-British occupation in the vicinity. The features are situated within the area of a Roman military site (MDO5864) and could potentially be associated with this.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
