Full Description

A probable post medieval extractive pit in a field to the northeast of Ashton Farm is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).

The feature is irregular in form and up to 90m long by up to 56.5m wide. It may be associated with an access track (MDO41007) leading in to its north side from Ashton Wood, although the extractive pit may be a later feature; the juxtaposition of these two features is not entirely clear on Lidar imagery (1).

The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
