A banked curvilinear feature to the southwest of Gaunts House is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature comprises a broad southwest to northeast aligned bank that curves to the east at its northeast end. The feature is located within parkland associated with Gaunt's House and appears to lead towards a small building recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and still extant in 1947 (1 and 2). At its south end the feature appears to correspond with a break or gateway in a historic field boundary. It is considered likely to be a trackway of probable post medieval date
