Full Description
Ditched linear features in a field to the northeast of Pig Oak are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise two sections of narrow curvilinear ditches that appear to form three sides of a possible 36m by 37m sub-square enclosure, with an additional 47m angled section of possible field boundary offsetting its southwest side (1). The date of these features is uncertain but they could potentially be late prehistoric in origin; possibly of Iron Age or Romano-British date, although anywhere between Late Neolithic and post medieval is possible.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
