Summary

Ditched linear features to the north of Lodge Copse are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are presumed to be post medieval drainage ditches. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Ditched linear features to the north of Lodge Copse are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The features comprise short sections of linear and curvilinear ditches, some of which link into a curvilinear drainage channel recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2).

The features are presumed to be post medieval drainage ditches.

The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery but the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
