Full Description

Ditched linear features in a field to the northwest of Broadbridge are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and comprise one long east to west linear with shorter perpendicular linears offsetting this. The features occupy the northern section of an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edsition map and whose curvilinear boundaries are likely to be predominantly medieval in origin. The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval origin.

The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still faintly visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
