Summary

A ditched linear feature to the west of Sheepcroft Farm is visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is considered to be a historic trackway of probable post medieval to early 20th century date. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A ditched linear feature to the west of Sheepcroft Farm is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1 and 2).

The feature branches off to the northwest from a historic trackway recorded as a footpath on the OS 1st Edition map (3). It is presumed to also be a historic trackway, probably post medieval to early 20th century in date.

The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery but the feature is no longer visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
