A possible post medieval extractive pit within White Sheet Plantation is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature is sub-rectangular in form and 45m long by 39.4m wide. It is bordered on its northwest side by a banked linear feature, possibly a post medieval field or plantation boundary (MDO40928).

The site remains plantation on current Google Earth imagery. The feature is under tree cover and not visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
