Full Description
Ditched linear features to the east of Sheepcroft Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise a series of irregular rectilinear ditches aligned broadly north to south and parallel to each other. An east to west aligned linear ditch runs across the bottom of these, linking between a stream course to the east and a large drainage channel that is visible in 1947 and is still extant on current Google Earth imagery. The features are considered to be post medieval drainage ditches.
The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery. The main drain is still extant but the additional features are not visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
