Full Description
A banked linear feature to the south of Pilford Farm is visible on aerial photographs (1).
The feature is situated in the southwest corner of an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). It traverses from the south side of the enclosure to the west side, linking between a trackway and a footpath also shown on the OS 1st Edition map (1)
The feature is considered likely to be a post medieval trackway, although it is possible it is a field boundary of similar date.
The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery but the feature is not visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
