Summary

A ditched linear feature to the northwest of Long Lane Farm is visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is presumed to be a historic trackway of probable post medieval date. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A ditched linear feature to the northwest of Long Lane Farmis visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature diagonally crosses from northwest to southeast a historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). It is presumed to be a historic trackway of probable post medieval date.


The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery but the feature is no longer visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
