Full Description

Ditched linear features to the southeast of Higher Honeybrook Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The features are broadly narrow and rectilinear in form. They form two perpendicular boundaries that sub-divide an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and whose irregular curvilinear boundaries are potentially medieval in origin (2).

The features are presumed to be field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.

The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still partially visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
