Full Description

Banked and ditched linear features to the east of Higher Honeybrook Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The features are broadly narrow and rectilinear in form. They sub-divide narrow irregular historic enclosures recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and whose irregular curvilinear boundaries are potentially medieval in origin (2).

The features are presumed to be field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.

The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery and some of the features are still visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
