Full Description

A banked curvilinear feature to the north of Wilksworth Farm is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature is broad and curvilinear in form and runs from east to west between simlar linear features recorded as historic boundaries on the OS 1st Edition map and potentially medieval in origin (2).

The feature is presumed to be a historic field boundary of possible medieval origin but may alternatively be a landscape feature associated with the medieval Wilksworth Farm.

The site is a 20th century caravan park on current Google Earth imagery and the feature is no longer visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
