Full Description
Dtched linear features in fields on the northwest side of Furzehill, Colehill, are visible on 1940sand 1950s aerial photographs (1 and 2).
The features are located within two historic enclosures recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (3). The enclosures encompass Woodleaze and their boundaries are probably at least medieval in origin (3).
The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and are considered likely to be field boundaries of post medieval or early 20th century date.
The site is partially redeveloped as housing on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
