Full Description
A banked linear feature on the southeast side of Long Lane, Colehill, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The feature is narrow and sub-angular in form. It sub-divides a historic enclosure present on the OS 1st Edition map whose boundaries may include some of medieval origin (2). The feature is presumed to be a historic field boundary of probable post medieval date.
The site is still within fields but the feature is no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
