Full Description
A ditched linear feature on the southeast side of Colehill Lane, Colehill, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The feature is narrow and rectilinear in form. It sub-divides a historic enclosure present on the OS 1st Edition map whose boundaries are likely to be predominantly medieval in origin (2). The feature is presumed to be a historic field boundary of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.
The site is still within fields but the feature is no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
