Full Description
An area of ridged cultivation marks on the north side of Dogdean, Colehill, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise parallel ridges set around 2m apart with 1m wide ditches in between. The ridges are regular and straight in form, suggesting probable post medieval narrow ridge and furrow, perhaps the result of later 19th century steam ploughing.
The site is under gardens and fields on current Google Earth imagery but the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
