Full Description
An area of ridged cultivation marks on the north side of Dogdean, Colehill, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are faint but appear to comprise parallel ridges set around 5m apart with 1.6m wide ditches in between. The ridges are regular and straight in form, suggesting possible post medieval narrow ridge and furrow but an earlier origin is also possible.
The site is under housing and gardens on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
