Full Description

Banked and ditched rectilinear features to the east of Church Moor Copse, Colehill, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1 and 2).

The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and align with adjacent historic field boundaries present on the OS 1st Edition map; the easternmost of the two features corresponds with a possible field boundary line marked by just a few dispersed trees on the 1st Edition map (3). The features are also presumed to be historic field boundaries, probably of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.

The site is under housing on 2002 Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
