Summary

A ditched rectilinear feature to the east of Cottage Farm, Colehill, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is presumed to be a historic field boundary of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A ditched rectilinear feature to the east of Cottage Farm, Colehill, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature is narrow and rectilinear in form and aligns with a historic field boundary to the east. It is presumed to also be a historic field boundary, probably post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.

The feature is still faintly visible on current Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
