Summary

An egg-shaped cropmark 32m by 25m across, is on aerial photographs to the southeast of High Lea Dairy, Hinton Parva. It lies in a field to the south of Witchampton Lane which contains a number of Bronze Age round barrows form part of a larger linear grouping and an extension of the High Lea Farm Group . The feature is possibly the site of a prehistoric burial monument, its appears to be a hollow and may be a pond barrow or a later extractive its. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

An egg-shaped cropmark 32m by 25m across, is on aerial photographs to the southeast of High Lea Dairy, Hinton Parva (1). It lies in a field to the south of Witchampton Lane which contains a number of Bronze Age round barrows form part of a larger linear grouping and an extension of the High Lea Farm Group .
